B&A $6.9M Application Ranked No. 1 Among Competitors
B&A associates proudly assisted a southern California city with application development for the California Board of State and Community Corrections’ Proposition 47 Grant Program, Cohort 4, in the amount of $6,990,541.
In addition to the City receiving a recommendation from the board to receive the full amount requested, the City’s application was ranked No. 1 in the program’s large scope category, which included 22 additional applications. Applications in this category requested more than $2 million and up to $8 million in funding.
Funding received will assist the City with implementing a Re-Entry and Community Safety Project, which aims to reduce recidivism of formerly incarcerated individuals by addressing substance abuse and mental health disorders, homelessness, and other factors. The project will provide a full wraparound service to 900 recently released inmates from the local county jail.
“I can’t thank the team at Blais enough,” the City’s Grants Program Manager said. “We are so excited about this project and how transformative it will be for our community!”
