SAFER Award: A Big Win for Public Safety and Community Resilience!

We’re thrilled to celebrate our California client on receiving a $443,796 award through the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) program, administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and FEMA.

This funding will allow the city to hire two full-time firefighters, fully reinstating the fire department’s medic squad, which has been out of service since 2013. With this restoration, the department returns to staffing levels not seen in over a decade.

- The city’s population has grown significantly, with over 171,000 residents now relying on a first-due response area spanning 39 square miles.

- Reinstating the medic squad means faster, more effective emergency response for a community that truly needs it.

- These new positions will directly strengthen the department’s ability to meet increasing service demands with efficiency and care.

We’re proud to support municipalities in securing critical funding that protects lives and strengthens local infrastructure.
